These handmade keepsake garlands are crafted from your beloved clothing items. Whether it is a baby's first outfit or outfits that hold your favourite memories, I transform these items into a beautiful garland that you can hang up on display and cherish forever.
These garlands can also be made out of any other fabrics you love! Think gorgeous florals or shades of ocean blues for your little love. You choose it, send it to me, and I create it!
Keepsake garlands are not limited to just names! They can be any words you would like! Some other ideas are Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, Story Time, a surname, even just initials.
You can choose if you would like the inner parts of letters cut out or left in, using the drop down box.
Each piece of fabric (for both letters and charms) is stabilised with interfacing and has a layer of wadding in between the front and backing fabric pieces to create a slight puff.
A tag is inserted in the top of the letters for the garland to thread through. The garland is removable and allows for you to spread the letters out as you wish. Both the tag and the garland are made using twill tape fabric.
The edges of all letters and charms are treated with a clear anti-fray glue to help stop the edges from fraying in addition to the pinking sheared edges.
It is recommended to send one item of clothing per letter. I will endeavour to use the same item of fabric for both the front and back of each letter; however this is dependant on the size of the item, and the number of items sent. I can use fabrics multiple times if you would like, but again is dependant on the number of letters and size of the item.
I will endeavour to include all the special parts of your items, however if you have a specific idea in mind, please include a note in your parcel when posting to me, or add details into the notes section at checkout. I will do my best to make your ideas work!
If sending in bought fabric, approximately 1/2 metre is enough for up to 8 letters. I will send back any left over fabric that is unused.

Charms - $6.00 per charm - current options available are: Bow, Butterfly, Cloud, Flower, Heart and Star.

How it works:
1. Gather clothing/fabric items you'd like to send. Please avoid very loose knit items.
2. Pre-wash all clothing items prior to sending them to me. I will do my best to work around stains, but avoid sending items where this is likely not possible unless you are okay with them being included.
3. Purchase the garland - select the quantity of letters/charms you'd like from the drop down box, for example if your name is 6 letters and you would also like 2 charms, select the option for 8 Letters/Charms. Also select the font you would like.
You can type the name and any charms you would like in the box at checkout.
4. Once payment is complete, you will receive an email confirmation within 48 hours which will include instructions for shipping the clothing items to me.
5. Pack your items in a protective bag (such as a ziploc bag to prevent water damage during transit) and post to me. Please include your name and order number in the package.
6. I will contact you to inform you when your items are received by me, and will begin creating your keepsake! Current turnaround time is up to 3 weeks.
7. Once your garland is complete, you will receive an email with tracking details along with a photo of your completed keepsake. Any unused clothing items will also be returned with the keepsake. If you would also like the fabric scraps returned, please let me know.
8. Place a review and enjoy your garland keepsake! I would also love to see photos of the garland once you hang it in your home!
